The law firm Haavind and Storebrand Eiendom have signed a lease for Haakon VII Gate 10, and in the summer of 2022 the law firm moves into the iconic building.

The iconic building is centrally located in Vika, an area undergoing extensive renovation. Haavind, which today has offices in the "Hydro building" in Bygdøy Allé, is experiencing great growth, and looks forward to moving into central and newly renovated modern premises in the iconic "Vika arch" as the building is also called.

"Currently, Haavind is growing faster than the market and we are experiencing great progress. We look forward to marking a new milestone in Haavind's history and moving into the Haakon VII Gate," says Preben Brecke, Managing Partner.

The contract is extensive and important for Storebrand, which considers the inclusion of the Law Firm Haavind as a very good contribution to central Vika.

"We are proud to have entered into an agreement with such a development-oriented tenant in what is a prestige building in Oslo," comments Ole-Jacob Damsund, head of rental and market at Storebrand.

“For Storebrand, it was especially important to clarify the rental process as early as possible, and now we look forward to looking ahead with Haavind. We will undertake extensive rehabilitation of the premises, and will make major investments in the building, so that the premises will be very attractive and adapted for a modern law firm. Vika is a very important focus area for Storebrand, where we own several central buildings. We therefore devote considerable resources and consideration to upgrades and measures that can create further well-being and life in the district."

The new offices of the law firm Haavind will be in excess of 6,000 square meters, and will house modern office facilities, a large meeting room department as well as an exclusive roof terrace overlooking large parts of Vika and lower Oslo. Rehabilitation will take place in the period 2021 - 2022.

"We see Vika as a very exciting area and look forward to developing the property together with Storebrand into a modern and digital office space in line with the need for changed forms of collaboration and new forms of work," concludes Brecke.

Akershus Eiendom has been a broker for Storebrand, and Haavind has been assisted by Moment Eiendom.
