C.F. Møller Architects is growing and establishes an office in Malmö during the spring of 2020. In recent years, the architectural firm has been tasked with designing Lund's new Central Station and is responsible for ‘The Point’ in the Hyllie neighbourhood of Malmö, the Emergency and Infectious Diseases Clinic in Malmö and the hugely popular Eleda (formerly Swedbank) Stadium, home to the Malmö FF football club. Right now, C.F. Møller Architects is also working on housing projects in the Råbylund and Södre Brunshøg districts in Lund.
“The establishment of an office in Malmö is a natural development for us, as we have had assignments in southern Sweden for a long time. We look forward to being present in southern Sweden and being part of the dynamic Øresund region. Our close collaboration with local partners and our own offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Aarhus, Aalborg, Oslo, London and Berlin add an international touch, which, we hope, is experienced as adding value,” says Ola Jonsson, associate partner and architect.
For ten years, Ola Jonsson has been at C.F. Møller Architects' office in Stockholm in charge of a number of projects and is now moving back to Skåne, where he originally hails from, to lead the development of the company’s presence in Malmö.
“For us, southern Sweden represents an important market and we are fully aware that local knowledge of the region is important for both us and our collaboration partners. We therefore now have an associate partner permanently located in Malmö. Over time, the goal is to expand with an actual office and more employees as assignments increase,” says Lone Bendorff, CEO and partner at C.F. Møller Architects.
C.F. Møller is a member of the local sustainability initiative LFM 30 and focuses on sharing its knowledge of sustainable construction with the other members of LFM 30 to achieve a climate-neutral construction sector in Malmö by 2030.
