“Helaba is aiming to grow its business in the Nordics and therefore looking to expand its platform in the region”, says Thomas Völker.
In Sweden, the aim is still set mainly on the commercial real estate market.
“The currently high transaction volumes in Sweden are not really reflected within the lending volume of the banks due to larger transactions are being financed by equity.”
Currently, the most interesting market for Helaba is Finland.
“Helaba currently sees good opportunities in financing commercial real estate in Finland. The market currently attracts local, Nordic and increasingly international investors mainly due to good product available and an attractive yield gap.”
“In general we see again larger portfolios, also pan-Nordic, with the comeback of the portfolio premium, where we also see good business opportunities. So far, the year has been quite promising so far with some large transactions in the pipeline, including a development financing.”

“The Nordic is still a very interesting market for Helaba. I think that we will see the largest growth in Finland the coming year in the Nordic Region”, says Thomas Völker, who is responsible for the Nordics at Helaba.
