Skanska Builds Residential- and Commercial Office Buildings in London

Sweden — Skanska has signed a contract with Royal London Asset Management Ltd to build The Earnshaw Building in London, UK. The contract is worth GBP 83M, about SEK 950M.

Skanska will construct two separate buildings – one consisting of 18 residential apartments and a 21,400 square meter mixed-use commercial office building. Both buildings will have retail units located on the ground floor. Skanska will also install the mechanical, electrical, and public health services for the development.

The buildings are targeting environmental accreditations which include BREEAM Outstanding for the commercial office space and BREEAM Excellent for the rest of the development, as well as a WELL Core and Shell Gold certification.

Construction work starts in May 2021 and is scheduled to complete in December 2022.
