Ursus has acquired two properties on in the Hornsbergs strand area of Kungsholmen in Stockholm together with the minority owner Cavendo Asset Management. The seller was AFA Fastigheter.
The two properties, also known as Kungsholmsporten, were completed in 2011 and 2012, respectively, and comprise a total of 267 apartments over 19,000 square meters. Kungsholmsportens tower with its façade of black terrazzo, designed by Wingårdhs, has become a new landmark in Stockholm.
The properties was built by Wallenstam, who sold them to AFA in the winter of 2014.
The acquisition will be a cornerstone of Ursus' investment in rental housing in the major Nordic cities, a portfolio that now exceeds SEK 2 billion in total property value.
Ursus' advisors included Tango, AG Advokat, Svalner, and Sweco, among others.
