Sthlm 02 is located in Hammarby Sjöstad and will house a café and other service functions on the street level. The building, which will comprise a total of 14,500 square meters of leasable area, also houses a metro entrance. In connection with Gullmarsplan growing as a public transport node, when the subway’s blue line opens for traffic in 2030, the rebuilt station will be reached directly from Sthlm 02 and the travel time to the central station in Stockholm is estimated at less than 5 minutes.
The project has the ambition to be LEED-certified, level Gold. The building is planned with well-thought-out spaces for bicycle parking on the entrance level with pleasant and functional opportunities for showering and changing.
Construction work will begin during May 2021 and the office building is planned to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2023.
Sthlm 02 is part of Skanska's initiative Sthlm New Creative Business Spaces. The area will consist of seven office buildings, the fifth of which is now being started, and will be a workplace for more than 8,000 people. In the immediate vicinity, Skanska has previously built about 400 homes, quays, streets and a bus garage.
