Anthon B Nilsen Acquires Hotel Property in Oslo

Norway — Anthon B Nilsen Eiendom AS has acquired Kongens gate 7 from Oslo Opportunity AS, a fund managed by Clarkson's Platou Real Estate Investment Management AS. Takeover took place on 20 May. 2021. The property is 3,000 sqm, spread over 6 floors and basement, and is regulated for business, office or home. Following a renovation in 2012, the property has been used for hotel purposes.

The property is an iconic building in Kvadraturen, on the corner of Rådhusgata and Kongens gate. The building was designed by architect Carl Christian August Michalsen and was built in 1898. Among Michaelsen's other significant works are Oslo Cathedral School, the Student Society in Trondheim, the former Hotel Astoria in Oslo and Sandefjord Church.

"It has a good size to be a property in the square, a fantastic architecture and a quality and regulation that provides flexibility for further development."

The property is currently fully leased to Saga Hotell Oslo Central on a contract that expires in 2023.
