Serena Properties AB has acquired Jägersro Center in Malmö (Malmö Hästdroskan 1). Jägersro Center is a shopping center comprising 27,000 square meters of lettable area, of which the most part consists of retail. Coop is the largest tenant with just over 40 percent of the area. The second largest tenant will be a well-known trading player that will open in early 2022, followed by Stadium, Lindex and Systembolaget. Accession took place on 1 September 2021.
Earlier this year, Serena also acquired a portfolio of five properties in Finland, with Rusta as the sole tenant of a total of just over 20,000 square meters. The properties were taken over in May.
The company has also signed an agreement with a Finnish property developer to acquire a Tokmanni property under construction and an option to acquire five additional properties that are in the construction phase.
The total value of all properties amounts to approximately SEK 1 billion.
"Serena is very pleased with the opportunity to acquire these fine properties that fit perfectly into Serena's portfolio and underlines our focus on both Sweden and Finland. Jägersro Center has an exciting future ahead of it, and Rusta's strong expansion in Finland is impressive to follow. We see good opportunities to continue to develop the trading venues. Serena continues its work to find more interesting acquisition opportunities," says Marc von Melen, CEO of Serena Properties AB.
