Partners and employees at Scius will continue their successful journey and further develop the Swedish operations within the Focus Group. The total operations for Scius and Fokus will be approximately EUR 4.5 billion in assets under management with approximately 70 employees at the two offices in Stockholm and Copenhagen.
The Nordic strategy to become the leading full-service investment and asset manager in the Nordic region will continue with further expected expansion during the year.
"The acquisition of Scius Partners is the perfect launch of our Nordic expansion - there is no doubt that the two companies are very compatible and constitute an excellent starting point for further growth and improved geographical coverage for our respective customers. We look forward to joining forces and expanding our operations in both Sweden and Denmark, and together take the next step in our joint journey," says Tonny Nielsen, CEO and Partner at Fokus.
"The task of creating a Nordic leading company with Tonny and his team is an exciting opportunity for us, and we look forward to growing the business in both Sweden and the rest of the Nordics together," says Mikael Freudmann, CEO and Partner at Scius.
"We are enthusiastic about seeing the Scius team merge with Fokus, a major step in Fokus' international expansion. Blackfin has supported both teams in purchasing and negotiation, and we are reinvesting together with the founders Fokus and Scius. Scius will also bring value-creating competence to Fokus," says Damien Lestang, Partner at Blackfin.
