During the autumn of 2022, a sales process was carried out and the real estate industry showed great interest in this centrally located property. The purchase was completed in January and the new owner is EHF, a property developer based in Uddevalla/Lidköping. EHF is a corporate group that builds, develops and manages property holdings based in Uddevalla/Lidköping. The company is also one of the major shareholders in the Götenehus Group.
At present, it has not been decided what the property will be used for in the future.
The income from the sale will contribute to the Gothenburg City Mission's strategy of doing more for more people. The money will be used for new premises or other major investments in order to offer emergency help and long-term support for vulnerable people.
"We know that we are leaving Stigbergsliden 6, a house that meant so much to so many, in very safe hands and that feels good. The sale gives us the opportunity to focus on what we do best, social work, and leave property management to EHF, who are experts in that, says Lars Durfelt," acting CEO of Gothenburg City Mission.
"Stigbergsliden 6 is a historic Gothenburg building with many personal stories and we are proud to own, develop and manage this property. We also have the privilege of retaining Gothenburg City Mission as a tenant, which we see as very positive," says Per Alexanderson, CEO of EHF.
