Fridhemsplan is one of Stockholm's largest collective hubs and a place that flows with life with its proximity to parks and water. Alecta Fastigheter's ambition is to embrace the site's potential and create a new destination in Stockholm. Väktaren 35 on Drottningholmsvägen is therefore being developed with a mix of businesses where one half of the building will be a hotel and the other office. The property is being built on two floors, where the top floor on floor 11 will be a rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of Stockholm's landmarks and rooftops.

"We are proud and happy that Ruby Hotels is establishing itself at Fridhemsplan, together we can shape and enrich the place at all hours of the day. Ruby, like us, sees the potential and together we lift the place as it deserves. Now we have to find the right restaurateur for the rooftop restaurant which wants to contribute to making Fridhemsplan a given destination in Stockholm," says Helena Ågren, Business Manager City Development at Alecta Fastigheter and responsible for the development of the property.

Ruby Hotels has for some time wanted to establish itself in Sweden and sees great potential in the new Fridhemsplan that is emerging. The hotel of nearly 8,000 square meters will contain 187 rooms, a restaurant, café and bar. In the spring of 2026, both travelers and Stockholm residents will be able to be welcomed to the newly opened hotel. The hotel is designed with the utmost care for the guest's experience, well-being and well-being, and the hotel rooms have been planned together with sleep researchers to ensure a good night's sleep.

"We are grateful for the trust and extremely happy to enter the Scandinavian hotel market in this unique project. We will now focus on building a strong presence and bring our Lean Luxury philosophy to Stockholm. With a slim organizational structure and focus on the essentials we offer modern and affordable luxury for the style- and price-conscious customer," says Elena Günther-Jakobs, Senior Manager Development at Ruby.
