"This is fully in line with Storsala's strategy to grow in attractive areas through both acquisitions and new production. By combining our solid experience with sustainable investments, we can not only expand our portfolio, but also create long-term value for our stakeholders. This project will not only to strengthen the housing offer in the area, but also to contribute to the region's overall urban development," says Orlando Villacrez, founder and CEO of Storsala.

During the past decade, Niam has been one of the largest private buyers of residential real estate in the Nordics and has, among other things, completed the largest residential transaction in Denmark's history: a portfolio valued at 1.7 billion euros.

"This is our second housing transaction in Stockholm in a short time and we have a strong pipeline with good growth prospects in the segment going forward. Now we look forward to working with our partners to drive this project which will be an important addition to the expansive development in Stockholm," says Henrik Gerdin, fund manager at Niam.

Derome, Sweden's largest family-owned wood industry, will produce the homes in wood, which provides a reduced climate footprint by 50 percent compared to other traditional building materials.

"The project confirms that our offer, with industrial wooden house production that both reduces the climate impact and shortens construction times, is exactly at the right time. We are now happy to implement this large and complex project together with our two new partners, and to build a long-term and successful relationship with each other," says Otto Martler, CEO of Derome Bostad.

Access will take place in December 2024 and in connection with the acquisition, a turnkey contract has been negotiated with Derome. Construction is expected to begin shortly after the turn of the year and be completed in the spring of 2027.
