Norway — Catharina Bjerke has been appointed Veidekke’s new sustainability director, with responsibility for strategic development of the group’s sustainability work. Up until now, Bjerke served as EVP in Veidekke ASA and CEO of Veidekke Industrial.

Sweden — Veidekke has been commissioned by Vasakronan to perform reconstruction and expansion of Strömshuset in central Gothenburg. The collaborative design and build contract is valued at approx. SEK 185 million. The project is scheduled to be completed by February 2022.

Sweden — Veidekke’s Swedish subsidiary BRA Bygg has been contracted to build new premises for Fujirebio in GoCo Health Innovation City, a health innovation cluster located in Mölndal, south of Gothenburg. The collaborative agreement with GoCo Health Innovation City has an estimated value of SEK 185 million.

Norway — Veidekke has entered into a contract with Undervisningsbygg Oslo KF to build the new Voldsløkka Secondary School in Oslo. The City of Oslo has major environmental ambitions and the school is being built as an energy-plus building.

Norway — Obos Nye Hjem has awarded Veidekke the contract to build the Humla housing cooperative, which is the fifth building stage with 184 apartments and parking facilities at Vollebekk in eastern Oslo. This is a design and build contract valued at MNOK 370 excluding VAT.

Norway — Veidekke Logistikkbygg has signed a contract with Anthon B Nilsen Eiendom to build Optimera’s new automated central warehouse in Vestby. The contract is a design and build contract valued at around NOK 220 million.

Norway — Veidekke has signed a contract with Borggata Futurum AS to build a commercial building that will gather a number of health services in the centre of Leirvik on Stord in Vestland county. The contract is a design and build contract valued at around NOK 100 million excluding VAT.

Sweden — Arcona has been commissioned by Aberdeen Standard Investments and Ailon Group to undertake conversion of the property Påsen 15 in Hammarby sjöstad, Stockholm.

Norway — Veidekke has signed a contract with Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst AS to construct an environmentally certified arts centre in Trondheim city centre, which was initiated and will be funded by Kjell Erik Killi Olsen.

Norway — The board of directors in Veidekke has at this week’s board meeting decided to split the group into two separate entities and establish the property development operation under a new ownership structure. The decision is the result of a strategic review of the group's composition and an assessment of growth and development opportunities for Veidekke's various business areas.

Norway — Veidekke has entered into a contract with Verdal municipality to build a living and treatment centre with 132 institutional spaces in the centre of Verdal. The project will be environmentally certified and ready for occupation in December 2021.

Norway — OBOS Nye Hjem has awarded Veidekke the contract to build the Bien housing cooperative, which is the fourth building stage with 116 apartments and parking facilities at Vollebekk in eastern Oslo.

Norway — Veidekke has been awarded the contract to build the fifth and final stage of the Gartnerkvartalet residential development in Oslo by Lørenvangen Utvikling AS (jointly owned by OBOS Nye Hjem and Veidekke Eiendom).

Norway — Veidekke has signed a contract with M17 Utvikling to build the Middelthunet housing project with 329 apartments at Majorstua in Oslo. The contract is worth around NOK 1 billion excluding VAT.

Norway — Veidekke Eiendom and R. Kjeldsberg have signed an agreement with Campus Sluppen AS for the sale of the Lysgården office building located at Sluppen in Trondheim. The sales amount is MNOK 440 (EUR 45M).

Norway — Veidekke will erect the commercial building “Kilen” at Damsgård in Bergen for Frydenbø Eiendom. The environmentally certified project comprises a total of 10,000 square meters new buildings with offices and parking.

Sweden — Veidekke has been contracted by SKB, Stockholms Kooperative Bostadsförening, to build 128 new cooperative rental apartments in Hagastaden, Stockholm.

Norway — Vest-Agder County Municipality has awarded Veidekke the contract to build a new school building and renovate existing buildings at Eilert Sundt upper secondary school in Farsund.
