Norway — Ferd Eiendom has entered into a design and construct contract with Veidekke for the construction of the Humlehagen (‘bumble bee garden’) housing project at Ensjø in Oslo.

Norway — Obos has awarded Veidekke the contract to also build the third stage of the Teieparken residential project in Tønsberg. This involves the construction of 167 environmentally certified homes in four stages of construction that will be initiated as sales progress.

Norway — Veidekke's subsidiary Seby AS and Oslobygg KF have signed a contract for the construction of a new multipurpose hall at Dælenenga in the Grünerløkka district of Oslo.

Sweden — Maria Sidén is the new CFO of Veidekke Bygg Sverige. She joins from the role of CFO at John Mattson, and will start at Veidekke in March 2022.

Norway — Veidekke has been commissioned by Statsbygg to construct basement areas beneath the new Government Quarter in Oslo. The project is worth NOK 2.1 billion excluding VAT.

Norway — Veidekke has entered into a contract with Omsorgsbygg Oslo KF to demolish the existing structures and erect the new, environmentally-certified Majorstuhjemmene nursing home with 120 places in central Oslo.

Nordic — Veidekke has decided to implement a structural and organisational change in its Swedish operations, whereby Veidekke Sweden is split into two operational units, Construction Sweden and Infrastructure Sweden. At the same time Mats Nyström leaves the company.

Norway — Arendal Eiendom KF has awarded Veidekke the contract to erect a new building for emergency room, municipal emergency help and triage facilities in connection with Sørlandet Hospital in Arendal. The contract is a design and build contract valued at NOK 150 million excluding VAT.

Sweden — Veidekke has been commissioned by BaseCamp Student Real Estate to build 589 student apartments in Västra Hamnen, Malmö. The design and build contract has a value of approx. SEK 448 million and is scheduled to be completed in Q1 2023.

Sweden — Veidekke’s subsidiary Arcona has been commissioned to renovate the Vasa Real school for SISAB – The Stockholm School Properties Company. The contract amount is SEK 255 million.

Norway — Veidekke’s subsidiary Seby AS shall rehabilitate and remodel 176 apartments in Sogn Studentby for the student welfare organisation SiO. The contract is a design and build contract with interaction and the preliminary contract total is estimated at NOK 130 million.

Norway — Veidekke has signed a contract with Steinkjer kulturbygg AS to build the new cultural centre in Steinkjer in northern Trøndelag.

Norway — Veidekke has been awarded the contract by OBOS and Nordr to build the first 67 apartments with accompanying parking facilities in the Løren botaniske residential project in Oslo.

Sweden — Veidekke has been commissioned by Hemsö to build the new Köpingeskolan in Trelleborg.

Nordic — Veidekke’s updated forecasts for the Scandinavian contracting markets show improved prospects for the sector compared to before the summer.

Norway — Veidekke ASA is making changes in the group’s management team, effective 15 September 2020. The purpose is to ensure renewal, broaden the experience base of the management team, and bolster the group structure.

Nordic — Veidekke completed the sale of its property development operation to the consortium comprising Fredensborg AS, Fredensborg Bolig AS, Norwegian Property ASA and Union Real Estate Fund III Holding AS. In line with the agreement entered into on 16 June 2020, Veidekke has received a consideration of NOK 7.1 billion on a debt-free basis. After the sale the Veidekke Eiendom is renamed Nordr.

Norway — Veidekke and BIR AS (the inter-municipal waste management company covering the Bergen region) have entered into a contract for the construction of a new terminal for the underground waste system and new headquarters at Nygårdstangen in Bergen.

Norway — Veidekke Logistikkbygg has been awarded the contract by Olav Thon Eiendom (Gardermoen Park AS) to erect a new central warehouse at Gardermoen for tyre supplier Starco.

Norway — Halden municipal pension fund has awarded Veidekke’s subsidiary Øst AS the contract to remodel Halden Storsenter. The former shopping centre is to become a culture and multi-purpose building for the town’s population and will include a cineplex and library, among other things.

Norway — Veidekke achieved revenues of NOK 10.2 billion in Q2, and a pre-tax profit of NOK 501 million. The group’s overall second-quarter profit per share totalled NOK 3.1.

Norway — Veidekke will be renovating and rebuilding an existing building which is to be integrated into two other neighbouring buildings. Once completed Kronan will consist of a total of 40,000 m2 of offices which will be used by the Swedish Tax Agency.

Norway — Veidekke sold 263 residential units during Q2 2020. This is on a par with the same quarter in 2019 and shows that Veidekke Eiendom came out strongly from a quarter characterised by the coronavirus pandemic. Veidekke’s residential sales totalled NOK 1.3 billion in Q2 2020. The number of residential units under construction is 1,887.
