“We are proud and happy that we are now in the process of building. This is also the start of the last project that remains for us at Ensjø,” says Anders Holmlund, Director of Residential Development at Ferd Eiendom.
Humlehagen is located in Gladengveien in Ensjø, immediately adjacent to Tiedemannsbyen where Ferd Eiendom, in cooperation with partners, has developed 1,200 homes. Social meeting places are a key part of the project, and the courtyard will be developed with greenhouses, pergola and its own bicycle shelter with bicycle washing and the possibility of simple servicing jobs. The project consists of 133 apartments and nine townhouses, and more than 50% have already been sold.
“Veidekke has ambitious climate goals, so it is very appropriate that we are working with Ferd Eiendom, which we find to be well ahead on sustainability and environmentally friendly choices. We have worked closely together from the start on how we can reduce the greenhouse gas footprint, and we hope that this is the start of a good, long and sustainable partnership,” says Kaare Gilhus, Department Manager at Veidekke Bygg Oslo.
“Ferd Eiendom takes both quality of living and sustainability seriously. Biodiversity is important, and here in Humlehagen we have focused especially on the bumble bees. We will contribute what we can to facilitate bumble bee-friendly planting, and there will be bumble bee boxes, greenhouses and plant boxes that the residents can use for their own cultivation,” concludes Holmlund.
The project shall be certified according to BREEAM-NOR and aims at certification level “very good”. Construction work has started, and the planned completion is around end 2023/ early 2024.
