Their new hub in Prologis Rosersberg DC4 will support the company’s business growth in large-scale food operations, with Cookin AB planning to move current and new hires, around 100 employees in total, to work at the facility. Rosersberg DC4 was constructed with a focus on reducing embodied carbon and lowering CO2 emissions during operations, supporting Cookin AB’s commitment to responsible production. The company plans to begin operations at the facility in March 2025. Cookin will rent 5,875 square meters.
Cookin AB is a well-established player in the food production industry in Sweden, serving clients in both the travel sector and retail. The company is consolidating their operations at Rosersberg DC4, which will more than double its production capacity.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to bring all our operations under one roof and build capabilities in sustainability and capacity in order to tease the taste buds of customers and consumers in the Nordics and grow as a business,” says Kristina Lukes, CEO of Cookin AB. “Prologis has created a facility that truly supports our business objectives, aligns with our requirements, and goes even beyond, providing a workspace that supports our commitment to employee well-being and our high set sustainability standards.”
Prologis customized several areas and features to support Cookin AB’s operating needs, including a restaurant test kitchen, a spacious lunch area and locker rooms for its employees. The facility also features a dedicated 168 kW solar installation on the roof, designed to contribute to Cookin AB’s energy needs and support its broader ESG goals.
“We worked closely with Cookin AB to customize a space that meets their operational needs, supports their ESG goals, and provides a workspace that aligns with their company culture,” says Andreas Berggren, Leasing Manager at Prologis. “This was possible because Rosersberg DC4—like all our facilities—is designed from the outset to offer flexibility and efficiency. At Prologis, we prioritize understanding our customers’ needs and bringing those requirements to life, creating spaces that go beyond four walls and a roof to support their growth now and into the future.”
