The seller is the Barings Nordic Retail Fund (former Cornerstone).
 
The lettable area of Sigmahuset is 18,000 sqm of offices, restaurants and retail. Tenants include SEB, Fitness 24 Seven and O’Learys.
 
The acquisition is in line with Regio’s strategy to invest in offices and retail in the outskirts of large and regional cities in Sweden.
 
“We are pleased that we are able to acquire a property in central Västerås, which is a very attractive market to Regio and a city where we would like to continue to grow. Since the fall of 2015 Regio has  made acquisitions in offices and retail worth approximately SEK 4 billion (EUR 421M),” says Regio’s CEO Eric Bergström.
