The 11 hectare logistics area will consist of a logistics centre (around 50,000 square meters), a terminal building (around 10,000 square meters) and an office building (around 4,000 square meters).
”The construction of the DSV centre will be our largest project in the logistics sector so far. In implementing this project, we will apply Lehto’s overall responsibility approach and proprietary component production,” says Hannu Lehto, Managing Director of Lehto Group.
“The new facilities will improve DSV’s efficiency and ability to offer customized and comprehensive logistics solutions. Having everything at the same premises enables us harvest operational synergies in terms of resource utilization and improved service levels for our customers. Purpose built facilities, new technology and automation will ensure high quality and a competitive advantage,” says Jan Magnus Nordberg, Managing Director, DSV Solutions Oy.
The planning of the logistics centre has started. Construction work will begin as soon as the building permit has been confirmed. Lehto Group aims to complete the project by the end of 2018.
