The PMK-building was originally built in the 1930’s as the sales office of the Finnish cotton factories. Over the years, it first transformed into a central cotton warehouse, and later into its current use for businesses, retail and offices. The building has a leasable area of approximately 15,500 square meters.

“The PMK-building is located in a rapidly developing area in central Tampere, very close to the railway station. The history of the building, together with its warm and timeless architecture that stands out from the mass, makes this a very interesting target. The PMK-building fits well with the fund’s investment strategy and is our first acquisition in Tampere, Finland’s third largest city. Tampere is a very interesting area for us, and we are glad to make a start there with such a unique building,” says fund manager Risto Aro.

There are currently about 65 tenants from different sectors. In addition to the current leased area, there is some 2,000 square meters of high empty raw space with development potential. Due to its central location, the building is well suited for varied purposes. There are already several different development scenarios for the raw space that fit the building’s profile.
