NCC Renovates Campus in Oulu

Finland — NCC is to renovate Linnanmaa University Campus in Oulu on behalf of the University of Finland. The renovation is part of the Cooperative Campus 2020 project to create premises for the University of Oulu. The order amounts to approximately EUR 33M. <br />

NCC is to renovate a gross area of 27,500 square meters on the Linnanmaa campus. There will also be a smaller part of new construction in the project. The renovated campus area is to be leased to and used by the University of Oulu for applied science.

"Linnanmaa campus project is a continuation of the long-term cooperation we have had with the University Properties of Finland in other parts of Finland. Here we will create quality facilities for the students and faculty of the new campus," says Mika Soini, head of NCC Building Finland.

The ground works have already been started and the project is estimated to be finished in June 2020.

NCC is the main contractor of the project and is also responsible for the building systems and structural engineering.

The total order value is approximately EUR 33M.
