VVO Acquires Former Head Office of Social Democrats

Finland — VVO Homes, Finlands largest residential property investor, has acquired the former head office property of The Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP), in Hakaniemi, Helsinki.<br /> The purchase price was €7.4 M.<br />

The seller is SDP, who will move into new premises, also located in Hakaniemi.

The property has 24 rental housing units, which have an average floor area of 48 sqm, and approximately 1,200 sqm of retail and office space.

The building was completed in 1979. The VVO Group will renovate the building completely, the majority of business and office premises will be changed to housing units.

“We are constantly looking for similar property development sites, where it is possible to change for example retail and office space into housing”, VVO Group's Investment Director Mikko Suominen says.
