Skanska Sweden invests in an office building in central Jönköping. The property is simultaneously sold to Vacse for about SEK 500 M. The Swedish Agencies for Agriculture and Forestry (Jordbruksverket and Skogsstyrelsen) becomes tenants. he construction contract, amounting to SEK 330 M, is awarded to Skanska Sweden and will be booked in the fourth quarter 2018. The transaction will be reported in the Commercial Property Development stream in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Construction work begins in October this year with the aim of having the building completed and handed over in early 2021.
The office building is Skanska's first project in the new district, where housing will be built in the future. It has a total area of 16,400 square meters and the house is between five and nine floors high. In addition to office space, the house will accommodate a café section.
