Bygg-Göta acquires the newly built Bauhaus property in Sisjön, southern Gothenburg.

The building, consisting of approximately 17,000 sqm local area, is fully leased to Bauhaus on a long-term contract and opened in late September 2016. The property has the designation Högsbo 37:2 and is located in the heart of Sisjön’s retail area.

Sisjön is not only a part of the Nordic’s largest business area, but also, alongside retail property 421 in southern Högsbo, the largest external retail destination in the Gothenburg region with more than 140,000 sqm retail area. Sisjön also faces a very large expansion. More than 100,000 sqm commercial facilities will, in total, be added to the area during the next 5-7 years, where Alaska will be in charge of the majority of the development. Furthermore, there are plans to add a total of approximately 6,000 new apartments within a kilometer’s radius of the property.

The transfer of the property takes place through the acquisition of the property owning company and Bygg-Göta gains access to the shares on November 29th 2018.

The transaction underwent a structured process, where Panreal was the seller’s advisor. Werks Advokater was the legal advisor in the transaction.

“The divestment of Bauhaus is a part of the process we are currently undergoing, where we aim to focus on creating the best opportunities for the significant development faced by Sisjön. Meanwhile, it feels great that Bygg-Göta, as a local and long-term owner, has chosen to enter Sisjön” says Lars-Åke Alexandersson, partner in Alaska Fastigheter.

“The investment gives Bygg-Göta a good retail property that strengthens the current portfolio of car facilities we own in Eklanda. The relatively new property fits our strategy well, as it aims at properties of good quality and modern technical features” says Ronny Persson, CEO at Bygg-Göta.
