Willhem continues to grow in southern Sweden. An agreement has been reached for the acquisition of 14 properties containing 265 rent apartments in Malmö, centrally located in Slottsstaden / Ribersborg, Gamla väster and in Rörsjöstaden. The apartment sizes vary between 1 to 6 rooms and the kitchen and the total rentable area is 21,786 square meters.

"We are pleased to be able to acquire these properties. They have an excellent location in the areas of Malmö where we already own real estate, which creates opportunities for efficient management. Through the acquisition, we further strengthen our market position in Malmö and consolidate our long-term presence in the region," says Willhem's CEO Mikael Granath.

Prior to this acquisition Willhem owns 1,600 apartments in Malmö in the following areas: Hermodsdal, Nydala, Almhög, Heleneholm, Södra and Northern Sofielund, Södervärn, Möllevången, Värnhem, Östervärn and Hyllie.

Access is expected to take place on February 1, 2019.
