Ica Real Estate Acquires 1,300,000 sqm in Stockholm

Sweden — Ica Real Estate acquires the property Tång 2: 5 in Brunna in Upplands-Bro outside Stockholm. The property amounts to just over 1,300,000 square meters.

"Upplands Bro is an important distribution hub in Stockholm. The acquisition of Tång 2: 5 is directly connected to Ica's planned highly automated warehouse for e-commerce," says Christian Fredrixon, Head of Strategy and Investments at Ica Real Estate.

Ica Real Estate already owns the properties Viby 19: 1, Örnäs 1:21, and Örnäs 1:22 in Brunna totaling just over 155,000 square meters.

"The acquisition reduces our strategic need for the ready-to-build property Viby 19: 1, about 64,000 square meters," says Christian Fredrixon.

Access to the property Tång 2:5 took place on 22 February.
