Niam has signed an unconditional agreement with Skanska Commercial Development Nordic to acquire a newly built office property located in Aviapolis, one of the fastest growing business districts in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, right next to the Helsinki Vantaa Airport. The property, named Aviabulevardi II, is a newly built property in an excellent location right next to the new Aviapolis train station and Aviabulevardi I, which Niam acquired from Skanska in March 2017.

Fredrik Jonsson, Niam CEO, says:

“We strongly believe that the micro location, in combination with modern premises and expanded service as the area develops, provides an attractive offer to tenants. The Helsinki office market continues to be a very attractive investment market which we believe will continue to improve.”

The leasable office area is 8,000 square meters designed to fulfil the requirements of modern and environmentally sustainable activity-based working. It will be certified according to the Gold level of the LEED® environmental certificate. The building is fully leased and was completed in November 2018.

The divestment will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Nordic in the second quarter 2019. The transfer of the property is scheduled to take place in the beginning of October 2019.
