By expanding its network of locations, it wants to provide more intensive support to customers of the savings banks as well as to its own key accounts in their international business activities.

By opening a representative office in Stockholm, the bank intends to continue the expansion of its business with local and international investors in the attractive Scandinavian market for commercial real estate finance. An additional focus for the new representative office will be supporting medium-sized customers of the savings banks as well as Helaba’s German and Scandinavian corporate customers. Up to now, these customer groups have been served from Frankfurt.

- Our aim is to get closer to the Swedish market and make more business, said Thomas Völker, Head  of  Nordics at Helaba, when Nordic Property News met him on Expo Real  in München.

Helaba Real Estate Group provides a comprehensive range of services covering finance, design and development as well as the operation of top-end properties.

Helaba will also open new offices in Turkey and Brazil.
