"We see an interesting market in Finland for the type of rational logistics and industrial buildings that we are specialists in. Our goal is to be a long-term player in the entire Nordic logistics market. Partly because we see a general need for these types of plants and partly to be able to offer our product to the customers who are active throughout the Nordic region, regardless of where they want to build. In Finland, we see good opportunities to become an interesting player in the logistics and industrial markets through our excellence in this area. It's about everything from the importance of the geographical location to how we create the best internal and external environment based on the needs of the business," says Sandu Nylmon, who becomes CEO of Logistic Contractor's Finnish subsidiary.

With over one and a half million square meters of logistics space, Logistic Contractor is the market leader in developing and building industrial and logistics facilities. In 2019, among other things, the construction of the base buildings of 100,000 sqm, started for Northvolt's battery factory in Skellefteå. Northvolt manufactures the next generation of lithium-ion batteries, which are considered the world's most environmentally friendly battery and are used in electric cars, among other things. In the fall of 2019, two of Logistic Contractor's development projects: Atea in Växjö and Lyko in Vansbro were nominated for this year's logistics establishment in Sweden. Atea won the award for its sustainability point of view, both for the environment and for the well-being of its employees.

"Outside Oslo, we are building 56,000 sqm for the transport company DSV. It is a very nice project that we also build on in a short time. We are specialists in logistics and industrial buildings and this means we can deliver quickly and with good quality. Many of our projects across the Nordic countries are attracted to the attention and it is fun," says Sandu Nylmon.
