The properties acquired are part of the Frigg, Balder and Lejongapet blocks in central Skellefteå.

"Skellefteå is expanding and this acquisition is a power move on Skebo's part. As a leading community builder, we want to continue to be at the forefront of developing Skellefteå's housing supply," says Skebo's chairman Harriet Classon.

The goal is that all occupancy should be completed by 2024.

"It is a venture that provides a nice addition of housing in Skellefteå. At the same time, we will continue to build even more housing in different areas to meet the high demand for rental properties in conjunction with Northvolt's establishment and other establishments," says Skebo's CEO Åsa Andersson.

The purchase price is about SEK 900 million and will be paid when tenants from Skebo's housing queue can move in. The seller is Lindbäcks Fastigheter.

"We will to return with in-depth information this autumn. This is a major housing investment that is in the offing. New apartments, built in wood, are being added in attractive areas," says Åsa Andersson.

Skebo and Lindbäcks have signed an agreement and the transaction is carried out on condition that Lindbäck's Board of Directors and Skellefteå's City Council approve it.
