The long-term ambition is to develop housing on the property.
Pripps and later Carlsberg have previously had their business in the property, which now mainly are logistic and commercial spaces. The property is currently fully leased and is approximately 66,000 sqm with a land area of approximately 155,000 sqm.
“The plan is to develop both apartments and rental units long-term and the municipality has previously been going in that direction. We also want to develop the businesses that exist there today”, says Ikano Bostad’s CEO Robert Jaaniste.
The annual rental income is approximately MSEK 56 with an average contract length of 3.7 years.
“From Catena’s perspective, the property is fully developed and the divestment adds liquidity to be used for investments in Catena’s core business that is well placed and modern logistics properties” says Catena’s CEO Gustaf Hermelin.
“Our strategy is the have a long-term ownership and develop the properties in central locations in the three metropolitan areas. The acquisition in Högsbo is in line with this. Stena Fastigheter and Ikano Bostad are both long-term companies and we see a strength in further managing and developing this area together in the future” says Christel Armstrong Darvik, CEO at Stena Fastigheter.
