In the final quarter of the year, the volume reached some EUR 1.3 billion. The volume was 26 percent higher than in 2014 (EUR 4.3 billion), and overall, 2015 was the second most active year ever in the Finnish property investment market, beating  the 2006 volume by a small marginal. The record year in Finland is still 2007 with a total volume of EUR 6.3 billion.

Retail properties were the most traded property type in 2015, accounting for 32 percent of the total volume (EUR 1.7 billion). Both office properties and residential portfolios accounted for 23 percent of the total volume, followed by industrial properties (11percent).

Foreign investors accounted for 34 percent of the total volume (EUR 1.8 billion), of which more than half was invested from other Nordic countries. In addition to the direct property transactions, some international investors - especially AMF, Balder and Blackstone's Logicor - completed significant indirect property investments in Finland last year.
