Lumo Kodit Oy and Jatke Uusimaa Oy have agreed on the construction of 77 apartments in Kontula, Helsinki. An eight-storey building will be constructed at Keinutie 9d.
The Keinutie property is an infill development project, which produces a lower carbon footprint than building a new property on an unbuilt plot. The area has good transport links, including a metro station, and it also has a shopping centre, schools and day care centres as well as park-like spaces for outdoor activities. The site employs 140 person-years. The project will be completed in the summer 2022.
This investment supports Kojamo’s strategic growth especially in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Kojamo’s strategy is to invest heavily in increasing the housing supply in Finland’s growth centres, where the demand for rental apartments is on the rise due to urbanisation and the increased popularity of rental housing.
