The property is nearly fully let to the governmental tenant Socialstyrelsen, i.e. The National Board of Health and Welfare. Since the acquisition in 2015, Areim and Blackstone have continuously worked together with Obligo Asset Management to meet Socialstyrelsen’s long-term needs, by modernising the property to a higher standard. Among other things, parts of the building have been rebuilt, floor plans have been adapted for the tenant’s specific needs, and a project has been carried out to reduce energy consumption.
"Lysbomben 5 is a good example of how we, together with Blackstone and Obligo, have worked to improve the office environment for our tenants by adding long-term value, adapted to their preferences and needs. With Axfast as a new owner we are convinced that the property is in good hands going forward, and we wish them all the best on the continued journey," says Jerker Victor, Property Developer at Areim.
Lysbomben 5 is part of the office cluster in Marieberg on Kungsholmen, where Areim also owns, manages and actively develops the properties Trängkåren 6 (Sweco building) and Trängkåren 7 (DN building).
Closing of the transaction took place on June 29, 2021. Nordanö and Wigge & Partners have been the sellers’ commercial and legal advisers in the transaction.
