Lumo Kodit Oy acquires a real estate development project from Newil & Bau and Samla Asunnot in Helsingin Lehtisaari. The property contains two separate four-storey residential buildings, and 54 new apartments include studios, one bedroom apartments as well as compact two bedroom apartments. At the same time, Lumo Kodit starts the construction of the apartments with Pohjola Rakennus Oy.
Nearly all of the apartments at Papinpöydänkuja 3 in Lehtisaari will have a balcony or a spacious terrace where the residents can enjoy the views. The high-quality materials and compact square metres of the apartments offer a new alternative for single persons, couples and small families who value the close proximity to nature and high-quality living. These Lumo apartments can also be easily combined with moving and home cleaning services that make everyday life easier.
The new Lumo apartments will be built near the Lehtisaari shopping centre containing a store, a school, a day care centre and a playground. Lehtisaari is a peaceful seaside residential area. The island offers different fitness and outdoor activity options in a park-like environment. There are good transport links in the area, including bus services and metro stations in Keilaniemi and Otaniemi. There are also comprehensive services in the surrounding areas, such as Munkkiniemi and Tapiola in Espoo. The construction will begin in July 2021, and the apartments are expected to be completed in January 2023.
The investment supports Kojamo’s strategic growth especially in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Kojamo’s strategy is to invest heavily in increasing the housing supply in Finland’s growth centres, where the demand for rental apartments is on the rise due to urbanisation and the increased popularity of rental housing.
