Construction of a state-of-the-art 15,000 square meter logistics project with a view to future development in the region is scheduled to begin early December 2021.

Eskilstuna is a great location to serve the entire Nordic region. It has Sweden’s largest intermodal terminal, and the location combines three different modes of transport: rail, road and air. It is only 70 kilometers from Stockholm, and 3.8 million people live within 60 minutes of the property.
“In the long-term perspective, Eskilstuna is a perfect complement to the more expensive Stockholm market,” says Gillholm. “We strongly believe in Eskilstuna as a market and want to continue to grow in the area, even after we complete this project.”
Prologis always strives to be at the forefront in sustainable development—from building design and waste reduction to selecting logistics locations that are future proof. With this project, Prologis performed a full ecological investigation in accordance with BREEAM to preserve the biodiversity of the site. One preservation method is to build a bug hotel, which will become a Prologis standard for all new developments in the Nordics.
The building will earn the Prologis standard of BREEAM “Very Good” environmental accreditation, and carbon will be offset through the Cool Earth organization, which protects endangered rainforests.
