– We have longed for a long time to open a department store in the Turku region and it feels great that we have finally found a location that suits us. Jula will be perfectly located in Reso, in the exciting and expansive shopping area on Itäniityntie near Ikea, says Jaakko Soini, country manager for Jula in Finland.

Jula is a Swedish home improvement chain that offers a wide and carefully selected range of products for the home, garden and leisure at low prices. The family business, which was founded in 1979, has a turnover of around one billion euros and today has department stores and e-commerce in Sweden, Norway and Poland. Finland will thus be the fourth country in which Jula establishes itself.

– We sell products at low prices and of good quality, both from our own brand and from other well-known manufacturers. Few other department stores in Finland offer do-it-yourselfers such a breadth under one roof, says Jaakko Soini.

The Christmas department store in Raisio will be 2,700 square meters in size with an assortment of around 15,000 items. The establishment will create around 20 new jobs in the region and the recruitment of employees will begin in the autumn. During the autumn, Jula also launches its e-commerce on the Finnish market.

– We are convinced that Jula's low-price concept will suit the Finnish market very well. Many Finns love to fix things at home and I hope that a visit to our department store or our website will inspire them to do even more, says Jaakko Soini.
