The Gothenburg properties Backa 7:19, Backa 7:20, Backa 866:692 and Backa 866:693 will be natural additions to both Skandia Fastigheter's Gothenburg portfolio and the future Backaplan. One of Sweden's largest urban development projects is being run right next door, where Skandia Fastigheter collaborates with the city of Gothenburg and other property owners.

The properties include 217 rental apartments spread over approximately 15,000 square meters and Skandia Fastigheter took these over from Rosnäs Förvaltning on 1 September.

"We have a strong and long-term investment at Backaplan, where we own large parts of the area that is now being developed into a completely new urban environment. Among other things, we have already started the construction of 420 new tenements here. Being able to expand that commitment with even more homes where we will, to say the least, be close and accessible to our tenants feels incredibly good," says Fredrik Brorsson, Property Manager Housing at Skandia Fastigheter.

In and around Gothenburg, Skandia Fastigheter already owns, develops and manages 2,000 rental properties, homes for the elderly, schools, office properties and the shopping center Frölunda Torg.
