With its Nordic headquarters in Gothenburg, Prologis is already active in western Sweden. But in 2021, the company also increased its focus on the Stockholm area. In connection with the company’s expansion, Fredrik Kihlström was recruited to the Stockholm office.
“In the aftermath of what’s happening on the market right now, many opportunities will emerge. This recruitment process broadens our team for a bigger focus on transactions moving forward,” says Gunnar Gillholm, VP country manager, Prologis Nordics. Kihlström will be an important part of Prologis' further expansion in Sweden and strengthening of the Stockholm region.
Kihlström will join Caroline Nirberg’s team as capital deployment manager, where his main tasks include identifying potential acquisitions. The role also involves contact with real estate agents, municipalities and customers to identify potential development opportunities to broaden Prologis’ presence in Sweden through long-term investments.
“I look forward to being part of a team that will contribute to Prologis' continued expansion,” says Kihlström about his new assignment. “My focus will be on identifying potential investments around Sweden to further develop Prologis’ property portfolio.”
Kihlström holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in real estate economics and finance from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and has also studied in Australia, the Netherlands and Gothenburg. His last position was as a transaction consultant with JLL, where he was senior associate, capital markets.
