Mikael Granath co-founded the company in 2010/2011 and Willhem has since had a strong growth rate. From just under 11,200 rental homes to nearly 30,000, the company is today one of Sweden's largest housing companies with operations in thirteen sub-markets.

"Mikael Granath has successfully led and developed Willhem with a strong focus on value creation and high profitability. Today, the company is characterized by strong values and a positive corporate culture, and Mikael's leadership has been decisive for that. I would like to convey my and the rest of the board's warm thanks to Mikael for his solid and valuable efforts," says Fredrik Wirdenius, chairman of the board for Willhem.

"Resigning as CEO has been on my mind for a while. It feels natural to step down and enjoy greater freedom in life. I am very grateful for the trust I have received from the owner, board and employees over the years to jointly implement the growth strategy we have had in the company. Going forward, I see no limits to the continued expansion of Willhem and now I look forward to following the development a little from the sidelines," says Mikael Granath.

The recruitment of a new CEO has begun and the board agrees with Mikael Granath that he will continue as CEO until a successor takes office.
