“The investment in office space that we are now making will strengthen the potential to develop Stockholm Arlanda Airport. We will be able to offer partners of the airport the possibility to expand their operations while also creating highly attractive establishment opportunities adjacent to one of Europe’s foremost growth regions,” says Karl Wistrand, President and CEO of Swedavia.
NCC and Swedavia will implement the project in partnership, having jointly drafted the property program, system documents and target price.
“NCC has solid experience of this type of partnering project, thus ensuring a more innovative and efficient construction process and ultimately a product with exceptionally high quality. We will construct a state-of-the-art office building that has a very high energy performance,” says Henrik Lundin, Business Manager, NCC Building Sweden.
Sky City Office One is strategically located between Terminals 4 and 5 and will comprise the hub of the airport city that is emerging around Arlanda Airport. The 11-story building will feature an energy-efficient design with superior insulation and climate control and efficient ventilation, ensuring minimal energy consumption. The building will be certified in line with BREEAM-SE Excellent level.
Construction on the project will commence in the fall and is expected to continue until summer 2018, when the building is to be ready for occupancy.
The transaction will be registered during the third quarter of 2016 in the NCC Building business area.
