In December, Panattoni, the world's largest developer of logistics properties, summed up a successful first year on the Swedish market. Now no less than five projects are being started and more are in the pipeline. To strengthen the organization, Panattoni is now recruiting Anna D Johansson from Newsec to the position of Investment Controller.

Panattoni's ambition is to become one of the leading players in terms of the number of square meters developed in Sweden, and big steps have already been taken in the first year. The head office was established in Gothenburg and an experienced organization was appointed to be responsible for the implementation of the ambitious plans, which initially involved a record-breaking land acquisition of SEK 3.1 billion

"We work according to a speculative business model which means that we can work at a fast pace and quickly bring modern buildings to the market. In our first year, we already have five building permits granted and construction started for 180,000 square meters of warehouse space. With Anna in the team, we also gain solid experience for the management phase that we will soon find ourselves in," says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, CEO of Panattoni Sweden.

Anna D Johansson previously comes from Newsec and has broad expertise in transactions as well as property and project accounting. At Panattoni, Anna will be responsible for investment management and work in close collaboration with the Technical Development Director for safe and smooth handling of the financial process throughout the entire project.

"It will be very exciting to start my position at Panattoni, a company that is still quite unknown in Sweden but is a world leader internationally. It is constant development and new steps taken towards becoming a market leader," says Anna D Johannson.

For 2023, Panattoni has many exciting projects in the pipeline. The ambition is to build around ten houses of around 250,000 square meters per year, which will also mean many job opportunities within the triangle Gothenburg - Stockholm - Malmö.
