Anitra Steen became chair of the board of Akademiska Hus in 2016.
"It has been an exciting time in the company. Akademiska Hus has taken great strides in the transition towards a more sustainable society, where the climate issue has been in focus. We have also carried out a series of projects around the country that develop campuses and strengthen the further development of higher education institutions," says Anitra Steen.
With a real estate value of SEK 115 billion, Akademiska Hus is one of the country's largest real estate companies, which works together with universities and colleges to strengthen Sweden as a knowledge nation by building, developing and managing environments for education, research and innovation. The company is owned by the state and around 320,000 people study, research and work in buildings managed by Akademiska Hus.
A new chair of Akademiska Hus will be elected at the annual general meeting held on April 26 in Stockholm. The nomination process is expected to be completed shortly.
