Sweden — Akademiska Hus has signed an agreement with Intea Fastigheter on the sale of property holdings in Kristianstad and the Niagara building in Malmö. The sale took place based on an underlying property value of about SEK 1.6 billion.

Sweden — Skanska has signed a contract with Akademiska Hus to build new Forum Medicum in Lund. The project covers 15,000 square meters of science and education facilities for the faculty of Medicine at Lund University.

Sweden — Akademiska Hus is investing around SEK 1.8 billion in a brand new building that allows the University of Gothenburg to gather large parts of its activities within the Faculty of Science in one place.

Nordic — Balder in three transactions, has agreed to acquire four properties with a total lettable area of about 28,000 sqm for approximately MSEK 1,600. The properties in Stockholm and London mainly consist of offices and educational premises and the property in Helsinki is a hotel.

Sweden — NCC has been commissioned by Akademiska Hus to carry out an expansion of the Ångström Laboratory at Uppsala University. The order value is approximately EUR 93M.

Sweden — Akademiska Hus is investing SEK 3 billion (€323M) in the continued development of the Albano campus. The area will become a scientific hub connecting the university capital of Stockholm, forming a sustainable campus with education environments for more than 15,000 students and researchers. Approximately 1,000 student housing units and premises for commercial services will also be built here.

Sweden — Universum’s annual survey Företagsbarometern has now been made. Swedish university students have been asked about their future dream employers. The results show that Akademiska Hus is the Master of Science Engineering students’ favorite within real estate management while Svenska Bostäder is more popular within the Bachelor of Engineering students.

Sweden — The kick-off for the Albano campus has now taken place. Once completed, Albano will be a scientific hub connecting Stockholm University and KTH with each other and with the city. A unique socio-ecological campus will be created here for 15,000 students and researchers with university facilities, approximately 1,000 student housing units and room for commercial services.

Sweden — The Land and Environment Court of Appeal (Mark- och miljööverdomstolen) approved in a judgment the new local plan for the planned Albano university campus in Stockholm. The verdict cannot be overruled and Akademiska Hus plans the construction start to 2016. A 13 year long planning process for the area, which is calculated to encompass 100,000 sqm university facilities and 1,000 student and researcher residences (50,000 sqm), is hereby completed.
