The new municipal building, about 5,300 square meters on four floors, will be located on the old municipal building site, which after completion will become a modern and efficient meeting place for both employees and citizens of Enköping municipality.

Wood is the primary building material, supplemented with climate-improved concrete, which means that the house's climate impact will be very low. It will therefore, among other things, be certified according to BREEAM, level Excellent, and meet energy class A according to the Housing Authority's requirements. With solar cells on the roof, combined geothermal heating and cooling, the building will achieve a very low energy requirement during the operational phase.

Provided building permission is obtained, construction is scheduled to start in November this year and the new municipal building is expected to be ready in the third quarter of 2025.
