The letting will entail a tenant adaptation where Genova's total investment commitment is estimated to amount to approximately SEK 40 million (EUR 3.38 million). Altris will take possession of approximately 4,000 square meters on April 1, 2024 and the remaining areas in 2025.
"It feels positive that Genova, in a time where our world is characterized by uncertainty, can lease premises long-term to Altris, which is a leading player in sustainable battery production," comments Michael Moschewitz, CEO of Genova Property Group.
"To enable the transition from fossil dependence to fossil independence, lots of batteries are needed. Through our long-term partnership with Genova, we now have a facility where we can scale up our work around sodium-ion batteries that are safe, cost-effective, durable and easy to recycle. This is an important milestone on our commercialization journey," comments Björn Mårlid, CEO of Altri.
