Malmö Neptunigymnasium is run by the city of Malmö and will focus on health, social benefit and welfare. The school will also offer introductory programs, vocational programs and college preparatory programs under the same roof. The philosophy behind the arrangement is that young people with different interests and experience should meet during their education, with positive integrating effects.

"Many young people want to work with and for other people, they want to make a difference for others and for society, and at Malmö Neptunigymnasium, the education leads to jobs in care, medicine, health and care, among other things. The location of the school is important for both potential students and employees - it's not often we get the opportunity to start a brand new high school in bright and modern premises in the middle of central Malmö," says Anneli Schwartz, director of the high school and adult education administration in the City of Malmö.

"With the great need that exists, it is extra fun to now be able to contribute to adding 1,300 new high school places through Malmö Neptunigymnasium, and also Academedia's Sjölins gymnasium which recently opened for 300 students in our property Aktern 5. We are extra proud to be one of the few private actors in the industry who have been trusted to cooperate with the city of Malmö in this regard. With us, they get not least a landlord with a particular focus on health and safety - our goal is to shine a light on all our school environments with the help of our self-developed tool Hälsohoppet ," says Tim Prevolnik Sjöstrand, market area manager for Malmö at Skandia Fastigheter.
