The deal includes 14, mainly smaller, community properties with a total of 28,630 square meters of rentable area and amounts to SEK 785 million. Even after the divestment, Rikshem has a large portfolio in Sigtuna consisting of seven community properties with 33,217 square meters of rentable area and a number of residential properties. The lease agreements with the municipality for two of these community properties are extended in connection with the deal. Rikshem has owned the properties that are now being sold since 2012.
"We are very satisfied with this deal, which came about following a request from Sigtuna municipality to acquire parts of the properties in which the municipality has operations. The sale gives us a more rational management when we divest smaller management units but keep the larger ones in which we have development potential . In addition, we have great development opportunities in our stock in northern Stockholm, which the deal gives us good conditions to take further," says Anette Frumerie, CEO of Rikshem.
Sigtuna municipality will provisionally take over ownership and management of the properties on 31 May 2024. The sale is subject to a decision by the Sigtuna municipal council on 25 April 2024.
