Strategically located at the heart of Stockholm, Hästen 21 is a ground-up development that will deliver at the end of 2026. Designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen, it sets a new standard for sustainability and design that will stand the test of time. The mixed-use building will also be home to premium retail and 27 apartments and has a flexible design to accommodate for the changing needs of today and tomorrow. For Hästen 21, Pembroke aims for the highest sustainability certification available today, LEED Platinum v4. With the signing with DLA Piper, all seven office floors in the new building have now been leased.
"We’ve seen a very strong interest for this space. This type of office accommodation is increasingly rare, making Hästen 21 unique with its client experience and amenities, including the rooftop terrace of approximately 2,000 square meters with 360 degrees views over Stockholm. I’m delighted to announce that - even in a challenging market - DLA Piper prioritized to invest long-term in this high-quality and sustainably designed development. We’ve had a great dialogue from the start, and we look forward to continuing that journey together as we deliver on their workplace needs, creating their future Swedish office", says Kristin Willerström, Head of Nordics at Pembroke.
DLA Piper has approximately 250 employees in Sweden, who currently work on Sveavägen 4. The entire business will move into the new building in the summer of 2027.
”In recent years we have had fantastic growth and our ambition is to continue growing. Our business requires both open and closed spaces and it is important to have an office that offers great flexibility and the best work environment for our co-workers. When the opportunity with the premises in Pembroke's property appeared, it was a given match based on our strategy, future needs and sustainability expectations. Pembroke has been responsive to our needs and it feels special to move into a world-class facility. For us, an office is more than a workplace, it is a gathering place that reflects our ambition to constantly be a modern law firm," says Magnus Oskarsson, Country Managing Partner at DLA Piper in Sweden.
Avanti had the leasing assignment for Pembroke and Tenant & Partner advised DLA Piper.
