The establishment of another office follows Art-Invest Real Estate's previous expansion to Vienna and London in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Since then, several properties have been acquired and developed in those locations. Art-Invest Real Estate plans to make its first acquisition in Stockholm at the end of the year.

As in the existing regions, the targeted asset classes will focus on office, residential, hotel, retail and social infrastructure. Commenting on the decision to expand operations to Scandinavia, Dr. Markus Wiedenmann, CEO of Art-Invest Real Estate, says:

Jan Dührkoop, head of fund operations within Art-Invest Real Estate, adds:

The Swedish and Nordic market will be managed from Stockholm under the leadership of Johan Lagerdahl, an experienced real estate specialist. Apart from Stockholm, the main focus is on the Uppsala, Gothenburg and Malmö regions as well as Helsinki.

Before Johan Lagerdahl came to Art-Invest Real Estate, he worked with asset management at IVG, Triuva and most recently Patrizia. Johan Lagerdahl was responsible for several renovation projects in the office and retail segment and supported several transaction processes. Since 2019 he was country manager for Sweden and a year later he also added Finland to his portfolio. Johan Lagerdahl has a wide network within both the Nordic property industry and the German market.
