The investment strengthens Infranode’s social infrastructure portfolio, which includes assets in Finland and Norway. It also represents a ramp-up in Infranode's commitment to Swedish social infrastructure, with ambitious plans to expand its portfolio and increase its impact. The properties are situated in the Telestaden area of Farsta, a 200 000 square meter district currently undergoing development led by sellers Ikano Bostad and Rikshem.

The two facilities provide essential societal services and will continue to do so under Infranode’s ownership. One property houses a police station, spanning 19,625 square meters. The second property covers 8,889 square meters and primarily consists of a facility for elderly care.

“This investment is a great fit with our long-term investment strategy, and we look forward to continuing our close cooperation with Ikano Bostad and Rikshem in the development of Farsta and Telestaden. We are well positioned to invest in Swedish social infrastructure and have the capital to grow our social infrastructure portfolio,” says Carl-Emil Lindholm, Partner and Head of Investments at Infranode.

"Telestaden has been developed by Ikano Bostad and Rikshem since 2015 with the goal of creating a modern and appealing district. This effort is now further strengthened as we have chosen to sell properties to Infranode, who will remain a long-term player in the area. We look forward to our upcoming collaboration," says Björn Olsson, chairman of Telestaden, managed by Rikshem and Ikano Bostad.

The new addition to the social infrastructure portfolio underscores Infranode's commitment to invest capital from reputable institutions into local essential infrastructure across the Nordics.

The use of the facilities will not be impacted by the ownership change. The assets will be managed locally together with the facility and maintenance service providers.
